Help
  • You will support Financial Management and Comptroller (FMC)'s senior leadership in one or more areas of financial management: budget formulation and reporting, programming, financial policy, audit readiness and funds execution
  • You will provide advice and guidance to command leadership, FMC Staff members, and BSO-15 workforce
  • You will make recommendations to ensure balance between program/project requirements and available financial resources.
  • You will serve as an expert in defending NIA's programs, goals and initiatives

  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United states Code 3326.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing budget formulation & reporting, programming, financial policy, audit readiness, and funding execution for the organization; analyzing cost in order to compare plans to actual expenditures, determine status of commitment/obligations to identify and correct discrepancies; providing advice and guidance on proper use of funding based on law, regulations and policies; draft recommendations to ensure balance between program/project requirements and available financial resources to meet mission objectives.
