    This National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT WORKER, Position Description Number D1435000and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, Air National Guard.

    NOTE: This position is subject to rotating or night shift work.
    NOTE: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
    NOTE: Must provide RIP for proof of AFSC.
    Individual selected will receive a Permanent Appointment after successful completion of a one year trial period.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

    Responsibilities

    ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT WORKER, WG-6641-6, this position is located at the 161st Air Refueling Wing, Phoenix, AZ in the Munitions Maintenance and Inspection Section of the Equipment and Maintenance Branch. The purpose of this position is to perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance of munitions utilizing associated test and support equipment, as well as operate manual/automated documentation systems. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on unguided munitions according to technical orders. Receives, stores, ships, inspects, inventories, and performs intermediate maintenance on assigned conventional munitions. Ensures implementation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Military Munitions Rule.
