As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will will serve as a director for the Integrated Award Environment Division, with responsibility for leading a team of IT personnel and contractors who provide application development and operations and maintenance for complex, mission critical, and high visibility suite of systems that compromise the Integrated Award Environment (IAE).

MAJOR DUTIES:
Directs a staff with responsibility for the day-to-day operations including planning work to be accomplished by setting and adjusting priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work; gives advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on both work and administrative matters; recommends appointments, promotions, or reassignments for positions in the unit; effects disciplinary measures; identifies developmental and training needs; finds ways to improve production or increase quality of unit's work; develops performance standards; and approve requests for leave; Routinely meets with Senior Executives from OMB, FAS, and GSA IT to ensure they are prepared to testify in front of Congress on the status and performance of the System for Award Management (SAM), Integrated Award Environment (IAE), provides oversight to ensure Congressional mandates, milestones, and objectives are met, and ensure the system meets business requirements, and provide support to improve business process/practices; Serves as a consultant and provides expert advice to generate and develop new hypotheses and theories of program components to explore state-of-the-art in efficiency and effectiveness of missioncritical programs, and; Keeps up-to-date with developments in the private sector, seeks out best practices; keeps abreast of new IT developments in hardware, software, emerging technologies, data and application management, security and operating systems technologies in an effort to provide advice on and devise IT solutions for a wide range of customer needs and demands.
