Help

As a Management Analyst, you will:

Develop, oversee and integrate all office administrative tasks to assure the smooth functioning of day-to-day business processes in support of the office's mission. Plan and execute the training and travel budget. Oversee all Human Resource actions including workforce planning, hiring, progress reviews and workforce logistics. Provide advice and consultation on a wide range of business and workflow processes.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants may qualify for the GS-9 and GS-11 grade levels of this position based solely on education, specialized experience, or a combination of education and specialized experience.

To qualify for the GS-09 level, applicants must possess one of the following:

To qualify based solely on SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE at the GS-09 Grade Level, a qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

At the GS-09 Grade Level, specialized experience is defined as conducting studies and analysis of administrative program operations; making recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes and procedures; experience in electronic suspense tracking systems; assisting with gathering and analyzing data to establish proper scope and schedule, and develop customer relationships and experience providing technical support to management in all matters relating to the planning and management of administrative programs.

OR

To qualify based solely on EDUCATION at the GS-09 Grade Level, an applicant must possess one of the following:

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LLB,or J.D., if related

OR

An applicant can qualify for the GS-09 level through a COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE listed above.

To qualify for the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one of the following:

At the GS-11 Grade Level, specialized experience is defined as identifying and recommending solutions to problems and incorporating process improvement techniques; gathering, summarizing and analyzing information for incorporation into final reports; conducting studies of clerical work processes to identify, analyze and recommend solutions to problems in staffing, administrative procedures, work life processes for travel management or workload distribution and experience developing, overseeing and integrateing all office administrative tasks to assure the smooth functioning of day-to-day business processes in support of the office's mission.

To qualify based solely on EDUCATION at the GS-11 Grade Level, an applicant must possess one of the following:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related

OR

An applicant can qualify for the GS-11 level through a COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE listed above.

There is no educational substitution for specialized experience at the GS-12 level.

GS-12: One year specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures to ensure effective administrative and work life program management; experience serving as a principal point of contact and technical expert/project manager regarding administrative management and administrative processes and conducting the full range of business analysis; experience managing and overseeing multiple functions in administrative programs such as work-life needs assessment, program design and development, and administrative evaluation; experience serving as a technical expert and advisor for customers on administrative activities such as travel administration and procurement requirements and experience providing advice and guidance to senior management to resolve, implement and manage program or policy issues.

  2. Knowledge of advanced management and organizational principles and practices, planning, programming and budget regulations.
  3. Skill in developing new or modified work methods, management processes and/or program administration procedures.
  4. Knowledge of automated systems to perform resource planning, monitoring, and tracking assignments.
