Help

As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (ENTARCH), you will:

  • Develop, implement and maintain a federally compliant Enterprise Architecture that aligns business requirements and processes with best-fit IT tools and infrastructure.
  • Provide expertise in aligning information technology strategies with business mission and strategy objectives, and ensure organizational needs are met in an efficient and sustainable manner.
  • Define and implement policies, procedures, and tools that support mission, enterprise architecture targets, and operating environments.
  • Participates in Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) process; review the objectives/constraints of each technical solution and determine conformance with the Enterprise Architecture, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
  • Design and implement IT service management standards, processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience is defined as experience leading strategic planning activities to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives in collaboration with others and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies. You must have experience with the development and maintenance of a governance plan that supports mission, information technology strategy and aligns with relevant policies, requirements, and guidance. Additionally, you must have defined and overseen the development and execution of an enterprise­wide modernization, collaboration tools deployment (i.e. SharePoint), disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

  1. Knowledge of IT infrastructure in order to develop new methods, approaches, and procedures; and to provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues.
  2. Knowledge of IT policy and planning concepts, methods and practices to represent the agency on intra and interagency work groups established to develop IT policy initiatives and solutions to critical issues.
  3. Ability to assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments purchases and ensure technology selection is in compliance with target application and security architecture.
  4. Skill in negotiating the acceptance of positions on key policy initiatives sufficient to maintain alignment of agency internal business practices with regulations and policies.
  5. Knowledge of capital planning principles and methods to contribute to the information technology capital planning and resource management processes.
  6. Skill in oral and written communication; in order to expresses information to individuals or groups effectively as well as to make clear and convincing presentations and produces well developed written products that influence others.
