Performs analytical work of the FDIC’s financial, accounting, and operational data or information and supporting activities for audits, evaluations, and other activities of PAE that support the FDIC to maintain stability and public confidence in the nation’s financial system.
Identifies relevant criteria; selects the methodology, techniques, and procedures to be used to analyze financial, accounting, and operational data or information to meet assignment objectives, which may include information gathering, sampling, quantitative and qualitative research, data and financial analysis, or a combination of such techniques, as appropriate.
Collects and reviews background information and research on the financial, accounting and operational aspects of FDIC’s activities.
Reviews financial, accounting and operational documentation provided or prepared by program officials to determine accuracy and completeness of information provided, compliance with program controls, or both.
Conducts analyses of simple to moderately complex financial, accounting, and operational data or information to assess the economy, effectiveness and efficiency of control systems the FDIC has to support its efforts in insuring deposits, examining and supervising financial institutions; and managing receiverships.
Documents evidence to be used to support the analysis of FDIC’s financial, accounting, and operational data performed.
Participates in or conducts segments of interviews, briefings, site visits or other meetings with FDIC officials, OIG management, or others.
Summarizes and presents to the FDIC, OIG or other relevant officials analysis of the FDIC’s financial, accounting and operational data or information and the findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on such work performed.

Qualifications
For the CG-09Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the grade 07 level or above in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience performing analytical work of financial, accounting and operational data or information and supporting activities for audits or evaluations, or experience that is reasonably equivalent to that described.
OR The completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or at least two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field of study directly related to the work of this position as described in the vacancy
