    You will serve as a Cybersecurity Information Technology (IT) Specialist and Action Officer supporting the triple roles of OPNAV Resource Sponsor, Director of Naval Intelligence, and Deputy Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer. Adhere to the established overall objectives and resources to successfully plan and carry out duties, but collaborate on the development of projects and deadlines keeping supervisor informed of controversial matters. Is resourceful in adapting and applying scarce guidelines to develop new methods and implement Cybersecurity policy for the Navy Information Dominance Corps. Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of information technology, contribute to the development and implementation of multiple Cybersecurity strategies, as well as to the creation of forecasting models to analyze and forecast future Cybersecurity IT requirements. Prepare multi-year requests and lead staff members and contract support on the formulation of short and long range Cybersecurity strategies, plans, goals, and objectives.

    All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

    Will require access to DoD intelligence information, and may require special security briefings.

    -- 1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and;
    -- 2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor."

    • You will support collection, simulation, analyses and reporting of operational data and trends for use in Cybersecurity related decisions made by all levels of management, in order to advance the Navy's Cybersecurity priorities.
    • You will develop short term strategies that support the future year strategic direction and the implementation of resulting initiatives.
