Duties

Help
  • Perform Lead Security Guard duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trespass, sabotage and espionage and to enforce the security regulations of the installation
  • Perform access control and patrol duties on a military installation.
  • Verify identification through use of identification cards, badges, automated records, vehicle decals, verbal questioning, and other means.
  • Maintain radio logs and prepare and submit daily blotter reports.
  • Distribute and balance workload among the employees. Provide on the job training to new employees.
  • Monitor work productivity and accomplishments and prepare production reports.

In order to qualify, you must meet the ?experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience is defined as: detection and prevention of theft, damage, and/or trespassing, performing vehicle searches, confiscating unauthorized items, directing traffic flow, verifying identification and controlling access to premises

  • This position requires a valid state driver's license.
  • This position may require heavy lifting of up to persons weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • his position requires that you complete and pass a physical agility test on an annual basis.
  • This position requires that you successfully complete CPR and First Aid training.
  • This position requires that you wear the uniform provided by the installation.
  • This position requires that you complete and successfully pass a semi-annual weapons qualifications test.
  • This position requires random urinalysis exams and sign a DA Form 5019 drug testing position form.
  • This position may require you to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e. gas masks.
  • This position requires that you comply with the Agency's Individual Reliability Program.
  • This position requires a Secret security clearance.
  • This position is subject to medical examinations.
  • This position requires that you complete Lead Security Guard training.
  • This position requires rotating shifts that include weekends and holidays and overtime.
  • This position requires you take and pass a pre-employment physical.
  • This position is Mission Essential and is required to report to work in inclement weather even when the Government is closed and is subject to emergency recall.
