The psychologist's primary assignment will be in Mental Health Service which serves veterans with mental health problems, emphasizing chronic mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders, psychiatric illness co-occurring with medical illnesses and mental health problems associated with homelessness. The incumbent will participate in the completion of clinical eligibility evaluations for the Caregiver Support Program (including, where appropriate, the portion related to supervision and protection that is related to mental health functioning) to assess whether the patient meets clinical eligibility criteria for enrollment in the program and at what tier level of disability. The incumbent will collaborate with the Caregiver Support Coordinators and team to develop procedures that may improve the administration of the program in the interest of maximizing autonomy and functioning level of veterans. The incumbent will also re-evaluate enrollees yearly to assess for changes (up or down) in condition. The provider will conduct this work at SFVAMC and via telework from home.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st Shift. Hours will be determined at time of hire.
