The USPS OIG is seeking students enrolled in college/university programs to fill our Student Cooperative - (Paid) position in the Risk Analysis Research Center (RARC) located in Arlington, VA. RARC is the OIG's research group, which digs into economic, business, and policy trends affecting the U.S. Postal Service. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and who possesses excellent organizational and time management skills. The Student Cooperative will work collaboratively with staff in a program support capacity. This position will offer exposure to the government contracting process, budget management, and the process of producing research papers on complex theories and topics. This position will work directly with the Assistant Inspector General (AIG), so a professional disposition is a must. The Student Cooperative Program is available for continuous employment throughout the year. The selected candidate should be prepared to work 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks and 30 hours per week while actively attending classes.
Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and/or the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. You must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed in EACH of the evaluation factors. EVALUATION FACTORS

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in drafting and editing a variety of written products such as reports, newsletter, blogs, and brief articles.
Familiarity with the organization of meetings and events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Access and SharePoint.
Experience in creating presentations and other visual communication material.
Qualifications
You will no longer be considered for this position if you: receive a zero (0) rating on any evaluation factor.
Failure to demonstrate that you meet all evaluation factor requirements will result in a score of zero (0). Upon receipt of a zero score, you will be deemed "not minimally qualified," and you will not be referred for further consideration.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
You must meet ALL of the minimum requirements.
Students must be currently enrolled full or half-time in an accredited college or university program, classified or academically ranked by semester hours as a Sophomore,Junior, Senior or Graduate student. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPT STATING CURRENT ENROLLMENT STATUS, GPA AND IN GOOD STANDING)
AND
Must be in academic good standing as defined by the college or university, earning at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
AND
Must be able to report to work in the USPS OIG office for which you are selected during core business hours.
