The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Dilorenzo Clinic and the Joint Pathology Center, provide world class medical services to the nation's service members and their families.
About the Position: Serves as a certified Physician Assistant (PA) at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Director for Dentistry, Department of Readiness, Medical Readiness. Work is performed independently. Work environment includes Exam room with 2 monitors and a printer, office space/area with a desk. Works as part of a team with a NP, LPN, CMA and Physician. Orders and Interprets labs and x-rays. Communicates to Primary Care Manager (PCM) and Specialty/follow-ups. Prescribes medications as needed. Work is performed in a clinical setting where exposure to infectious and contagious diseases are common. Appropriate precautions must be taken to prevent the spread of disease.

You will serve as a Medical Readiness Physician Assistant within the Dentistry Directorate, working independently and as part of a medical Team; providing services to Military Members, such as performing periodic Health Assessments, pre/post-deployment evaluations, pre-commissioning exams, Medical assessments, Re-enlistment exams, Active Duty Overseas screenings, physical exams, and suitability exams. Orders and interprets labs and x-rays. Communicates to Primary Care Manager (PCM) and Specialty/follow-ups. Prescribes medications independently from the Physician, as needed.
