Summary

The Office of Administration (OA) is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to serve as unpaid student interns to assist in the performance of its mission of providing support services for the Executive Office of the President (EOP).

The OA, was founded in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter to carry out the mission of providing effective, efficient and economical administrative services to the EOP. Within this entity are financial management, information technology support, human resources management, research assistance, legal services, and printing and graphic design work.
As an integrating and servicing component for the ten other offices within the EOP, the OA Internship Program is designed to attract students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions (ranging from undergraduate to graduate school).

The EOP is comprised of The White House Office, Executive Residence, Office of the Vice President, Office of the United States Trade Representative, Office of Science and Technology Policy, Office of the National Drug Control Policy, Office of Management and Budget, Office of Administration, National Security Council, Council on Environmental Quality, and Council of Economic Advisers. The EOP is responsible for a multitude of tasks ranging from communicating the President's Message to the American people, to promoting our trade interests abroad.

The Office of Administration offers challenging and exciting valuable professional experience and builds leadership skills in the Federal work environment.
The 2018 Office of Administration Summer Student Internship will begin June 5, 2018 to August 24, 2018.

Help

The Information Technology Division seeks a student intern. Duties include:

* Intern must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
* Create threat assessments to understand relevance to the enterprise along with potential impact to the systems.
* Researches multiple information sources to identify threat activity relevant to the systems.
* Assist in developing threat assessments for official foreign travel.
* Provide derivative indicator of compromise (IOC) information for consumption for technology products.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a citizen or national of the United States
  • In Possession of an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Must be able to work a minimum 15 hours per week
  • Be registered with Selective Service
  • Must Have a 3.0 GPA
  • Relocation Expenses will not be paid

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.

Proof of enrollment for the duration of the internship must be provided within the application package to include student transcripts or class schedule.

Education

As outlined in this announcement, all applicants must be enrolled in a degree seeking academic program for the duration of the internship. Prospective interns will be required to show proof of enrollment upon selection.

If selected, you are required to show proof of enrollment in a degree seeking academic program for the dates of the internship.
