Develops and edits the Corporation's Annual Report with the responsibility of establishing a production schedule and creating the Report's theme, form and presentation.
Writes and edits speeches for Senior Level MCC Leadership, talking points to support Communications plans and strategies, press pitches, press releases and press advisories. Writes op-eds, LTE, journal entries, white papers, etc.
Researches, develops and updates, within general policy guidelines, informational material for dissemination to the media and the public, such as news releases, brochures, fact sheets, pamphlets, feature articles, and other publications that illustrate MCC activities and explain MCC programs and policies to the general public or specific target audiences.
Prepares responses to sensitive correspondence received in MCC for response by CPA.
Develops and prepares other appropriate material necessary to define and explain specific issues related to MCC programs.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance

Qualifications
To qualify for pay band 4b you must meet the following:
Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4c (GS-11) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as: experience writing and editing speeches, talking points, press pitches, press releases and press advisories, op-eds, journal entries, white papers, etc.; experience writing, copy editing, and proofreading in journalism, public affairs or media relations; experience with AP style and desktop publishing; and experience utilizing Microsoft Word including layout, formatting, creating and maintaining style sheets, and creating and locking down document templates. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.
