As a Food and Beverage Attendant the incumbent is responsible for:
1. Collecting sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepting payment from patrons and making change as necessary. Maintaining related cash records.
2. Setting up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold foods and beverages.
3. Serving food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Presents bill and receives payment. Cleans tables and immediate area. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking
4. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads. Portions out food, cleans
and prepares meats and seafood for cooking.
5. Unloading trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas. Clean floors, walls and windows in kitchen, dining and storage
areas.
This position does not provide moving expenses (PCS costs).
Position-specific Conditions of Employment
1. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of
employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
2. Must be 21 years of age for serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
General Conditions of Employment
1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection (regular part-time positions only).
2. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
3. Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
3. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or nonalcoholic beverages.
Education
This position does not have an education requirement, nor can education be substituted for experience.
Additional information
180-day Restriction for Military Retirees: Military retirees are unable to be appointed to NAF positions for 180 days after their retirement date, as documented on their DD-214. Military retirees who, by the closing date of the announcement, have been retired from the military for more than 150 days may apply; however, they will not be appointed until they have reached the 180 day mark.
