Summary

America's Logistics Combat Support Agency

This position is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position with DLA Installation Operations Richmond, Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Division, Richmond Cafeteria.

This position is being extended until 30 March 2018. This JOA is also the public notice for a job fair being held in Richmond, VA (see below for information). The first cut-off date was 19 December 2017. After 19 December 2017, names will be referred to the selecting official on a regular basis, including at the job fair. The closing date of this JOA is 30 March 2018.

Job Fair
Applicants who apply under this JOA are encouraged to attend the job fair. Interviews will be conducted and job offers may be extended. Applicants who are unable to attend the job fair will be referred to the selecting official for the next available positions. Applicants will receive an email with specific information about the location & time of the job fair.

The vacancies may be used to fill positions which have a work schedule of Regular full-time, Regular part-time or Flexible. Please see below for a description of each work schedule. In the occupational questionnaire, you will be asked to identify which work schedules you would like to be considered. You may select more than one work schedule; however, your name will be only be referred to the selecting office if the vacancy's work schedule matches your requested work schedule.

Regular part-time (RPT) positions guarantee at least 20, but no more than 39 hours per week. RPT employees are entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, including the accrual of annual and sick leave, health benefits, life insurance, etc. Please see the benefits section of this announcement for more information.

Flexible (Flex) positions do not guarantee a set amount of hours per week. Flex employees are not entitled to participate in the NAF benefits program.

Help

As a Food and Beverage Attendant the incumbent is responsible for:

1. Collecting sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepting payment from patrons and making change as necessary. Maintaining related cash records.
2. Setting up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold foods and beverages.
3. Serving food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Presents bill and receives payment. Cleans tables and immediate area. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking
4. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads. Portions out food, cleans
and prepares meats and seafood for cooking.
5. Unloading trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas. Clean floors, walls and windows in kitchen, dining and storage
areas.

Position-specific Conditions of Employment

1. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of
employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
2. Must be 21 years of age for serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.

General Conditions of Employment

1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection (regular part-time positions only).
2. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
3. E-Verify: If you are selected for this position, the documentation that you present for purposes of completing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Form I-9 will be verified through the DHS "E-Verify" system. 4. All required background check IAW AR 215-3 must be successfully completed and maintained.

6. You will be required to show Social Security card upon appointment to a NAF position.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
3. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or nonalcoholic beverages.

Education

This position does not have an education requirement, nor can education be substituted for experience.

Additional information

180-day Restriction for Military Retirees: Military retirees are unable to be appointed to NAF positions for 180 days after their retirement date, as documented on their DD-214. Military retirees who, by the closing date of the announcement, have been retired from the military for more than 150 days may apply; however, they will not be appointed until they have reached the 180 day mark.
