Serving as a team leader for a group of lower-graded transportation operations specialists and/or support personnel
Acquiring and maintaining Fleet Warrant Program certification
Serving as the point of contact for the Accident Management Center (AMC); advising GSA and other Federal or customer agency personnel, vendors, contractors on AMC program, and evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of AMC operations
Reviewing cost effectiveness of work proposed to be performed; ensuring all repairs estimates are in accordance with industry standards
Providing support to FAS customers through the national accident reporting and control system; utilizing automated data systems to perform a wide variety of work assignments
Meet all eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $72,500 per year. To qualify, you must have one year of federal experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is experience providing technical advice to internal and external fleet customers on the full range of fleet management services and contracting issues; and coordinating the repair of fleet vehicles that have been damaged as a result of an accident. Such experience must have included the following:
processing accident reports; reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining data in an automated logistics or fleet management system;
procuring and administering contracts for the repair of damaged fleet vehicles;
reviewing vehicle collision damage to develop repair estimates;
determining the economic feasibility of repair and making appropriate recommendation;
reviewing and analyzing fleet and/or accident management operations to develop recommendations for improvement to the program.
Quality Ranking Factor (QRFs): QRF's are knowledge, skills and abilities that can be expected to significant enhance performance in a position, but are not essential for satisfactory performance. Applicants who possess such KSA's may be ranked above those who do not, but no one will be ranked ineligible solely for failure to possess such KSA's.
The Quality Ranking Factor for this position is the ability to acquire and maintain a Fleet Warrant Program certification. The applicable certification program requires completion of at least 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of college credit from an accredited college or university.

Ability to acquire and maintain a Fleet Warrant Program Certification. The applicable certification program requires completion of at least 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of college credit from an accredited college or university.
Practical knowledge of the characteristics, operation, installation and repair of motor vehicles required to repair a collision or accident-damaged vehicle.
Comprehensive knowledge of fleet program operations to support customers, vendors, and fleet management personnel.
Skill in communicating orally in order to share information, present recommendations, and articulate positions when the views or information expressed could be met with resistance or opposition.
Skill in communicating in writing.
Knowledge of Federal contract terminology and contracting procedures to determine if the terms and conditions of the contracts are being met.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques required to analyze and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations.
Ability to use automated fleet data systems to perform a wide variety of work assignments.
