Summary

As a trainee, you will assist higher graded specialists in overseeing and managing lease projects, integrating technical realty and project management knowledge to effect on budget projects that meet customer requirements. Additional duties of the position include:
Preparing, soliciting and awarding lease contracts
Serving as a contact for customer agencies requesting varied workplace solutions including space related services and supplies offered by GSA
Inspecting repair and alterations projects and initial build-outs
Performing a variety of real estate work related to the acquisition of real property and/or the management of federally owned, leased and/or delegated space, based on needs identified through the customer
If selected, you must meet the following conditions:
Receive authorization from OPM on any job offer you receive, if you are or were (within the last 5 years) a Schedule A, Schedule C, or non-career SES political appointee
Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 4 investigation level).

Have a valid driver's license
Within the office, the work is sedentary; however, during field inspections and market surveys, the employee may be exposed to construction sites, uneven or slippery ground, and common hazards associated with construction sites.
The work is often performed in an office setting except during field inspections and market surveys. Incumbent is required to travel and, therefore, must have a valid driver's license or be able to perform work by using other forms of transportation.

The GS-09 salary range starts at $53,575.00 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify, you must demonstrate one of the following:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience involves performing routine technical realty work assignments and projects. The work is reviewed for adequacy and compliance with realty polices and regulations. The experience must include meeting and dealing with a variety of individuals and analyzing and solving realty problems and issues.OR
B. I possess a master`s or equivalent level degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or JD
C. I possess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills (optional)
It is preferred that you have: either a bachelor's degree or completion of at least 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of business coursework.
