Help

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

  • Provide technical oversight of the Defense Health Agency tasking which serves as the delivery mechanism for the new Electronic Healthcare Record (MHS Genesis).
  • Implement complex cross agency system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards to sustain and defend the enterprise network.
  • Responsible for integration of enterprise application, virtualization systems into existing enterprise network architecture and computer network defense programs.
  • Ensue programs are resourced to allow and coordinate integration of multiple technically large scale projects.
  • Exercises discretion and judgment in providing support in the day-to-day operations of system engineering an IT integration for the program.

Requirements:

Generally, current Federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Career Field Information Technology at Level II. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing cross system design, develop, and implementation of network operations focusing on the integration of cyber security service for Electronic Healthcare Record (MHS Genesis). Examples of qualifying experience: Technical oversight throughout the life-cycle of network and network protection devices design, development, implementation, and operation with a special focus on integration of cyber security services. Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories.

The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NO-1/2/3/4/5/6.
