About the Position: This Digital Systems Analyst, NH-0301-02 position is located in the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical (PEO, C3T) at Fort Drum, NY. PEO C3T, headquartered at APG, MD develops network-centric C3T systems for the digitized Army and fields Joint C3T systems to provide an integrated information system of systems seamlessly linking every sensor, shooter, commander and support to create a common view of the battlefield. http://peoc3t.army.mil/c3t/who-we-are-.php

Duties

Help

  • Provide guidance on work produced by the C4ISR support team.
  • Serve as the resident Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the C4ISR Field Support Branch.
  • Ensure system users know how to use the application mechanisms to report system software, hardware, and network issues using the Single Interface to the Field (ISF)/Incident Reporting Module (IRM).
  • Interact independently and productively with customers to identify and define complex/difficult problems and to develop and implement strategies.
  • Facilitate the accomplishment of diverse information systems/network operations and management action.

  • This is a Career Program (CP) 34 position.
  • You will be required to undergo a background investigation leading to the successful adjudication of eligibility for Secret security clearance. Derogatory information developed during the background investigation, such as a criminal history or an adverse credit history, could render the selectee ineligible for both the security clearance and continued employment in the position, if already appointed.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Acquisition Career Field of Information Technology within 24 months of entrance on duty.   • Individuals must be deployable and capable of meeting deployability criteria as provided by the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) or other designated deployment activity or unit.
  • Subject to travel to other locations up to 50% of the time on short notice (i.e. less than 24 hours notice).
  • Must accept relocation (i.e. mobility agreement).

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at three years of progressively responsible experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01/GS-04 grade level, which includes the following. (1) Experience utilizing DoD tactical/warfighting communications systems to communicate across multiple tactical commands or services and (2) Provide technical guidance on operation and troubleshooting computer and communication integrated equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04).

OR

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business administration, finance, or public administration. (The above examples of related curricula are not all-inclusive.) (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
