    Responsibilities

    A Fuels Module Crewmember (GS-05 Range/Forestry Technician) assists in all aspects of wildland and prescribed fire operations including preparation, ignition, monitoring, holding, mop-up, and rehabilitation. Serves as a Prescribed Fire Monitor, collecting and evaluating weather, fuels, topography, and fire behavior data for prescribed and wildland fires. Serves as an Ignition Specialist, Field Observer, Squad Boss, or as a holding or ignition crewmember on wildland and prescribed fires.
