Help

Incumbent will provide direct onsite management and administration of the housekeeping department. Ensures security and privacy of all guests is maintained at all times. Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide information about local attractions. Provide assistance with customer complaints. Performs a full range of supervision to include training, planning, work direction, and administration for the housekeeping department. Incumbent will develop the organizational structure and staffing requirements of the housekeeping department. Advise management of personnel requirements and do interviewing /hiring of prospective staff. Responsibilities will include evaluation of employee performance; recommend awards, and/or corrective/disciplinary actions. Develop and conduct training program. Perform cleaning duties on an “as needed” basis to cover for staff shortages. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of National Agency background Check (NACI) with written inquiries. This position may be designated as mandatory personnel for inclement weather or in the interest of national security and may be required to report for work when other employees are excused. The incumbent is expected to meet the requirements of a Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) within six months of employment and all requirements for housekeeping, custodial services, and/or laundry operations as outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide. This position may be required to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Incumbent may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime as necessary to meet mission requirements. A valid state driver’s license for travel to other facilities may be required. In order to verity fitness for duty a complete physical examination may be required.
