1. Maintains and operates the ski lifts including main chair lift, bunny slope tow bar lift and snow tubing tow lift. Ensures safe operations and is present when lifts are operating. Operates snowmaking system and positions snow guns to obtain maximum coverage of snow on the ski hill and insures maximum safe environment and snow surface for skiing. Contours the ski hill with jumps and moguols. Maintains required lift inspection documents and performs periodic inspection of lifts and its components. 40%
2. Assists skiers in loading and off loading of the chair lift in a safe and proper manner. Ensures safety of patrons (i.e., proper clothing, equipment, etc.) and is alert at all time for unsafe conditions, mechanical malfunctions and possible injury to skiers through their own negligence. Answers a variety of questions from patrons on ski operations. Completes operational logs provided by supervisor. Advises lift supervisor of any condition or occurrence that may adversely affect the safety of the operation. Follows procedures as defined in the SOP for lift operations. 40%
3. Assists with physical support to the Ski Patrol Staff in the event of severe injury to patrons or staff. Reports inappropriate behavior or accidents to the Ski Patrol or Facility Coordinator. Assists with programming as required which may include ski lessons, dog mushing activities, special events, open house program, Youth Ski Week programs, ski and snowboard activities. 10%
4. Keeps area of responsibility, to include the ski lodge, in a high state of cleanliness both inside and outside. Clears snow from customer traffic areas. Assists the Skeet Range Manager with snow removal and restocking targets. 10%
Performs other duties as assigned.
