As a Logistics Management Specialist at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Develops, refines, and interprets inventory management policies and procedures related to property accountability management programs and interfaces staff across the agency.
Manages the Agency Capital Asset and Validation Program and Real Property with responsibility for the accountability and reporting of all assets procured through acquisitions that meet the DoD Capital Asset threshold.
Provides monthly and quarterly updates and documentation to the Director, Acquisition, Finance, and Logistics and to the Agency Comptroller.
Acts as the Agency's representative in matters pertaining to the administration of the contractor's management and control of Government Furnished Property.
Serves as a subject matter expert team member for operations in work involved in developing and analyzing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in assigned area(s); evaluating their impact on current support operations; and planning and coordinating changes and future actions with supported units.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience in inventory, property and lifecycle logistics management; working with the Defense Property Accountability System or similar property accountability and management software; oral and written communication experience providing updates and preparing information papers, policy and procedural statements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

This is a Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) position. The incumbent will be designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent may be required to deploy via temporary reassignment or be required to stay in place to support contingency operations. This position may require deployment in support of a contingency operation where such deployment may subject the incumbent to Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) jurisdiction. The incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position required the incumbent to be screened from military recall. Positions identified as E-E are subject to deployment to combat support situations. Deployment will be via Temporary Duty (TDY) orders.Deployment may entitle the employee to additional monetary compensation dependent upon the deployment location. Additional allocations are based on the Department of State's determination of a combat zone.
