LOCATION OF THIS POSITION IS HQ AFMC/A4, WPAFB, OH.
THE LOGISTICS CAREER FIELD MAY
UTILIZE DEVELOPMENT TEAM VECTORS TO FILL LOGISTICS CAREER BROADENING VACANCIES.
Career Broadening positions are centrally funded and
managed by AFPC/DP2Z. Positions are established specifically to provide
developmental experience designed to broaden the skills and/or enhance the
leadership perspective of a high-potential, mid-level
manager/executive.
Career Broadening also provides executive training
and developmental opportunities in a Major Command or staff environment. These
assignments offer the qualified candidate a unique assignment in that the
candidates brings certain experience to the assignment, while gaining new
experiences in a different work environment.
Duties:
- Performs career
broadening duties involved with planning, management, and coordination of life
cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem.
- Career broadening
assignments include providing technical guidance, advisory support, and
assistance on a wide range of management issues.
- Interprets Air
Force acquisition and logistic directives.
- Serves as the
senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.
- Development of Self
and Organization. Maintains current knowledge of events, technology, and
organizational policies and procedures which impact current responsibilities.
Mobility agreement must be signed as mobility is a condition of employment

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS:
1. Mobility

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the
particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the
duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to
be filled. To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been at
the GS-12 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal
service.

Time-In-Grade (TIG) Requirement for General
Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at
the GS-12 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning,
development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions
into a total, well structured, and viable program.

3. Knowledge
of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements.
4. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate
a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into
operational use;
to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for
money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the
program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and
goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development,
and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between
the participants involved in deploying the plan.
5. Ability
to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
