You will serve as a General Supply Specialist at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. In this developmental position you will have many opportunities to learn and gain experience through formal and on-the-job training which will acquaint you with the policies, methods and techniques particular to a position characterized by knowledge and skill requirement involving technical supply work. Assignments are progressively difficult and are designed to prepare the incumbent for more difficult and responsible work at the intermediate and ultimately the journeyman level. At the full performance level GS-11 the position you may be serving as a General Supply Specialist, or Supply Systems Analyst and some of your major duties will include:
Analyze and forecast requirements for CECOM materials
Make decisions to buy or repair individual items to fill future requirements
Coordinate and oversee distribution of new equipment to Army units worldwide
Plan, program and budget to support CECOM requirements
Write or implement regulations for procedures for management of CECOM items of supply
DAWIA Level 1 Life Cycle Logistics required w/in 24 mos EOD.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience GS-07: To qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-05). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Using supply regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply cataloging, inventory management, excess property, property utilization, or storage management and 2) Using an automated supply system to process supply requests.

Superior Academic Achievement: Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree AND have Superior Academic Achievement (SAA). Superior Academic Achievement is defined as: 1). A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for all completed undergraduate coursework or for all courses completed in the last two full years of undergraduate work; or 2). A GPA of 3.5 or higher for all courses in the major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two full years of undergraduate work.; 3) ranking in the upper one third of your college, university, or major subdivision; or 4).
