    The city of Grand Junction, Colorado, is the largest community between Denver and Salt Lake City, sitting at the confluence of the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers.     Responsibilities

    The incumbent will be responsible for assessment and care of new and returning patients with multiple medical problems (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, ischemic heart disease, COPD), ordering diagnostics, consultations, medications and other therapies as medically indicated on an urgent need basis, meeting preventative health maintenance needs, completing all required VA computer documentation including clinical reminders and screenings, adhering to all VA Clinical Practice Guidelines elements. Work will involve substantial computer-based work in the VA Computerized Medical Support Record System (CPRS). The incumbent must be able to work collaboratively with ancillary staff including nursing and clerical staff and on-site Mental Health Providers.
