The Charlotte - HCC-VA Medical Center is recruiting for an Orthopedic Surgeon. The Orthopedic service functions under the overall management of the Section Chief of Orthopedics. The physician functions within an interdisciplinary staff consisting of physicians, physician extenders, administrators and clerical staff. He/she is responsible and accountable for ensuring the provision of comprehensive surgery/clinical services, and complies with established policies within the Department of Surgery/Orthopedic sections. The Physician will have skills in arthroscopy, hand, joints and other areas of general orthopedic surgery. The Orthopedic Surgeon will see new patients, provide consultations for both follow-ups and post-operative patients; staff the operating room with residents and alone and assist in covering call. The Orthopedic Surgeon will work as a member of a modern, technical, surgical team, while providing training to orthopedic residents from Medical School in specialized complex cases. She/he will interact with all disciplines in the medical facility.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
