Plans and monitors implementation of vegetation management projects assigned by the Silviculturist.
Develops site specific treatments for forest density management, site preparation and regeneration, hazardous fuels reduction, and animal damage control.
Recommends silvicultural prescription modifications to accomplish forest management objectives.
Serves as lead Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), developing Timber Stand Improvement (TSI) contract specifications, and implementing prescriptions through service contracts.
Acts as Forest Activity Tracking System (FACTS) coordinator for the zone, updating and maintaining the activity database and associated Geographic Information System (GIS) layers.
Assists the Silviculturist in developing out-year target and budgeting requests for the silvicultural program.
Prepares annual Knutson-Vandenberg trust (KV) fund balance reports and Sale Area Improvement Plans.
Permanent Forest Service agency employees with competitive status, current and former temporary Forest Service employees eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act, and USDA CTAP/RPL eligibles.
