    This National Guard position is for an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D2325000and is part of the AZ 162nd Wing, Air National Guard.

    NOTE: The position's special experience requirement is at least 12 months with a 3-level in any of the following AFSC: 2A0X1, 2A2X1, 2A2X2, 2A2X3, 2A3X4, 2A3X5, 2A8X1, 2A8X2, 2A9X1, 2A9X2, 2A9X3. If you have at least 12 month's experience in any of the above AFSC, please answer "yes" to the specialized experience question in the assessment even though the assessment asked for 18 months.

    Individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

    ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12. This position is located at the 162d Wing, Tucson, Arizona, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Avionics workcenter that supports aircraft. It is an Air National Guard dual status technician position that requires military membership, compatible military skill assignment and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate and rebuild multi-system complexes, which consist of several complete integrated electronic avionics systems, where the multi-system complex accomplishes a number of major functions. Install, modifies, overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, rebuilds, aligns and calibrates complete electronic avionics multi-systems. Troubleshoots malfunctions and analyzes system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawing, data downloads from various systems, waveform analysis from Time Domain Reflectometer and Joint Services Electronic Combat Test Set (JSECTS), Mulitplex Bus Fault Isolation Test Set, common and system specific test equipment and built in system tests. Removes faulty system components and line replaceable units, (LRUs). Installs serviceable components and LRUs or repairs faulty wiring as required. Recommends hardware and software changes. Submits change recommendations to Technical Orders. Requisitions supply assets and processes repairable assets in accordance with Standard Base Supply System requirements. Documents maintenance action in aircraft forms and documents man-hour expenditures and maintenance actions in the computer system. Provides training to lower graded and newly assigned personnel concerned with the repair of integrated avionics systems. Prepares for and participates in AEF taskings, deployments and various inspections and exercises. Complies with safety, fire, security and housekeeping regulations. Ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained. May be required to perform additional duties such as launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, firefighting, aircraft crash and rescue duty or serve as a member of a natural disasters or civil emergencies team.
