Help

This position is located in Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Enterprise Communications Office.
The incumbent of this position provides timely, seasoned advice and collaborates extensively across DCAA organizations to establish and maintain the DCAA's social media presence. The incumbent will plan, prepare, and post targeted information for use in specific social media venues to highlight areas such as Agency initiatives, program updates, outreach events job fairs, and other pertinent issues; support real-time engagement of social media platforms through written and verbal responses; and analyze effectiveness of social media efforts.

Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a personnel security investigation which must be favorably adjudicated for occupancy of a sensitive position and/or access to classified information. If you are selected for a critical/special sensitive position, you will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). For a critical sensitive position, you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Secret level.
Drug Testing: If you are given access to classified information, you will be subject to random drug testing.
Employment Eligibility Verification (E-Verify) Program: DCAA uses E-Verify to determine eligibility for employment as a U.S. Citizen.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11 )within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For the GS-12 Specialized experience includes: Experience researching, analyzing and applying best practices in social media for various platforms, media, and other networking tools into an organization's existing communication strategies; experience assisting in the development and delivery of social media content for multiple audiences; experience translating general communications messages into engaging social media content for multiple audiences; experience assisting in the analysis and evaluation of the user experience, interaction trends, and audience reach.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For the GS-13 Specialized experience includes: Experience initiating, planning, developing, and managing a social media program that integrates various social media platforms, other online tools, and emerging technologies; experience researching, selecting, and developing engaging content for multiple and diverse audiences that vary in their familiarity with complex organizational mission; experience analyzing and evaluating user experience, interaction trends, and audience reach to optimize and target social media efforts for the greatest impact.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
