This position serves as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Scientist, GS-0401,0403,0415-14 for the Division of Chemistry and Toxicology Devices. If selected for this position, you will:

In order to qualify for a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Scientist-401/403/0415-14 position, you must meet the following requirement:
BASIC QUALIFICATION
BIOLOGY, GS-0401
A. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
-OR-
B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
MICROBIOLOGY, GS-0403
A. Degree: microbiology; or biology, chemistry, or basic medical science that included at least 20 semester hours in microbiology and other subjects related to the study of microorganisms, and 20 semester hours in the physical and mathematical sciences combining course work in organic chemistry or biochemistry, physics, and college algebra, or their equivalent.-OR-B. Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or basic medical science that included courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Toxicology, GS-0415
Degree: toxicology; or an appropriate discipline of the biological, medical, or veterinary sciences that included at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, biochemistry, or physiology, and 12 semester hours in toxicology.
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
GS-14:
You must have one (1) year of specialized experience which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service to include providing technical guidance to researchers, evaluators, or other staff on the review and evaluation of in vitro medical devices and radiological products; and reviewing technical review policies and programs to identify areas for improvement or resolve common problems.
