About the Position:

This position is located at Schofield Barracks which is nestled at the foot of the Waianae range of the island of Oahu. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain. It is home to about three-fourths of the states population. Honolulu is the state capital and the 11th largest U.S. metropolitan city. Waikiki, the most world renowned site in Oahu, is the top visitor destination of the state. The island is very geographically diverse with mountains, rainforest, volcanic crates, tropics, beaches and much more.

Serves as a supervisor at Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and is responsible for supervising workers, directly or through leaders, in the calibration and repair of a wide range of calibration standards. And functions designed to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of the assigned calibration and repair program.

Help

Serves as a supervisor at Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and is responsible for supervising workers, directly or through leaders, in the calibration and repair of a wide range of calibration standards. And functions designed to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of the assigned calibration and repair program.
Duties Will include:

  • Planning workflow, methods, priorities to assure timely accomplishment of assigned workload.
  • Directing and reviewing the work of subordinates.
  • Maintaining liaison wit other segments of the US Army TMDE Support Activity and customer needs to insure the most effective and efficient program.
  • Responsible for the execution of administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.

  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance for the duration of appointment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds with occasional requirements to lift items in excess of 50 pounds.
  • The work of this position is performed in laboratories and user facilities where technicians are exposed to the hazards of high voltage, high pressure, high and low temperatures, chemicals and radiation.

Ability to lead or supervise as a Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrator Supervisor tasks in the parameters of planning, directing, and coordination of work involved in electrical, electronic, microwave, nucleonic, optical/laser, physical and dimensional standards and measurements applicable to the calibration, certification and evaluation of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
  • Ability To Lead Or Supervise
  • Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  • Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
  • Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
  • Theory and Instruments (Electrical Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices
  • Trouble shooting
