Provide operational support to GIS projects at the Field Office. Evaluate geographic data for spatial accuracy, correct errors and assure that map products are press ready and meet BLM mapping standards. Utilize GIS to supplement and ultimately replace manual drafting of plat records. Serve as liaison support within and outside the Bureau to ensure coordinated development of GIS technology. Assist Resource Staff in digital data collection and GIS database maintenance, interacting with various resource specialists in a multitude of environments to discover/recover information that will be converted to the current GIS. Provide support to field mapping projects utilizing Global Positioning Systems and digital imagery. Answers questions and provides information for the general public, other agencies and groups relating to the use of GIS.

Qualifications
Be at least 16 years of age or older for a non-arduous or non-hazardous duty position.
A Recent Graduate who has obtained a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous 2 years or other applicable period.
