Knowledge of Equipment, Assembly, Installation and Repair, etc.
Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices, and Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, Etc. (includes blueprint reading), and Troubleshooting
Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Physical effort: The work may require long periods of standing or sitting along with some walking or bending. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of items weighing up to 40 pounds with occasional requirements to lift items in excess of 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: The work is performed in laboratories and user facilities where technicians are exposed to the hazards of high voltage, high pressure, high and low temperatures, chemicals and radiation. Calibrators must comply with all safety regulations applicable to the calibration mission.
