OIG is organized into three line elements: the Offices of Investigations, Audits and Evaluations, and Healthcare Inspections; along with the Office of Contract Review and the Office of Management and Administration. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 30 cities throughout the country.
The SUPERVISORY HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST, located in the Office of Inspector General (Office of Healthcare Inspections), is responsible for establishing and managing a nationwide program of quality assurance and patient care inspection and oversight activities covering the broad scope of Veterans Health Administration quality assurance and patient care activities at the Headquarters level, the Veterans Health Administration regions, and more than 300 Veterans Health Administration healthcare facilities.
This position will be filled in one of the following locations: Arlington, VA, Atlanta, GA, Baltimore, MD, Bay Pines, FL, Bedford, MA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA or Washington DC.
As a Supervisory Health Systems Specialist, you will:
- First line supervisor of OHI National Reviews staff.
- Comfortably and capably conducing reviews and functioning well in an unstructured environment.
- Performing integrated analysis of data in order to provide recommendations of program process improvement.
- Experience successfully working in teams.
- Capable of working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
25% or less - Travel nationwide under tight deadlines. The incumbent should anticipate frequent walking and standing as a component of this travel.
