About the Position:
This position is located in the Joint Service Provider (JSP), Architecture, Configuration and
Engineering Solutions (ACES) Center, Architecture, Standards and Compliance Division.
The Joint Service Provider is responsible for the Information Technology (IT) services and
support for WHS, the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), and the Pentagon Force
Protection Agency (PFPA).

  • Review and evaluate programs to make recommendations for improvements to management.
  • Responsible for program management within and across organizational lines
  • Use a variety of research and statistical techniques to evaluate and suggest improvements to programs.
  • Provide project leadership and technical support to management.

  • Security Clearance: This position has been designated as critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R, and requires you to possess, or obtain and maintain for the duration of employment, a Top Secret security clearance.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing. A job offer to an applicant who is a not a current employee will be withdrawn if the applicant refuses to be tested. Applicants with verified positive test results shall be refused employment. Applications from such individuals shall not be considered for employment for a period of 6 months from the date of the test results.
  • This position requires a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Applicants at all grade levels must possess Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies:(1) Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. (2) Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. (3) Oral Communication: Express information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of information; make clear and convincing oral presentations; listen to others, attend to nonverbal cues, and respond appropriately. (4) Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations. IT related experience is demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (IT certification.) AND specialized experience as described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Creating enterprise architecture policies and procedures; Aligning information technology strategies with the organizations goals and objectives; Coordinating enterprise architecture projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
