The Intelligence & Special Program Assessments (ISPA), DoD Office of Inspector General, has several vacancies within its office related to the Lead Inspector General mission. The Lead Inspector General is charged with providing oversight for designated overseas contingency operations such as Operations Inherent Resolve (OIR) and Freedom's Sentinel (OFS). Selected candidates will serve as a member of an assessment team providing oversight across the full spectrum of programs, policies, procedures and functions of the DoD Intelligence and Counterintelligence enterprises related to the OIG's execution of the Lead Inspector General mission.

- Identify or contribute to evaluation approach in the development of clearly defined objectives, scope, criteria, to accomplish project objectives.
- Develop all-source research and collection strategies to collect information relevant to assigned project objectives through data calls, interviews, unclassified and classified media research (open source, JWICS and SIPR).
- Independently conduct comprehensive, fact-based, and accurate analysis of data and client comments collected using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Independently conduct interviews and presentations or participate in meetings and verbal exchanges with clients to obtain information or explain project objectives.
- Prepare project documentation (working papers, memoranda, etc.), other written products, presentations, and elements of the draft and final report that are accurate clear, concise, logically organized, cross-referenced and relevant.
As a Federal employee, incumbents may elect health insurance, life insurance, participate in the Federal retirement system, and will receive Sick and Annual leave benefits. Employees may be required to travel to contingency operations locations, such as Southwest Asia. Travel will generally be between 2-4 weeks, and may include benefits, such as danger pay, post differential, and overtime. Candidates must meet specific requirements set forth by the related Combatant Command, such as CENTCOM, to be qualified to travel.
This position is being filled using 5 U.S. Code subsection 3161 authority. This excepted service position is temporary and available for 24-months. This temporary position may be terminated early or extended beyond the 24-month period based upon incumbent performance and the needs of the OIG/Lead IG mission.

Knowledge Requirements/Skills for Program Analyst 0343 series position:

Experience in identifying and understanding foreign intelligence threats.
Experience using both traditional and nontraditional tools to exploit and identify threats or anomalies within large amounts of data.
Knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community organizations, missions, and functions.
