Duties as an IT Specialist (Sys Admin) include but are not limited to: 1. Manages the OIG business collaboration service and system(s) that directly support this service. Configures, maintains, and supports the business collaboration system(s) and ensures all service level agreements (SLA) are met. Manages systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability and recoverability. Manages the application of security and information assurance policies, principles and procedures and industry best practices in the delivery of business collaboration service and associated system(s). 2. Identifies the need for and conducts regular maintenance of the business collaboration systems, including minor upgrades and software patching. Ensures systems are properly backed up and services can be fully restored within timelines identified in the SLA. Manages secondary non-critical services and associated systems as assigned. 3. Analyzes and resolves complex technical problems and trouble calls associated with the OIG business collaboration service and supporting systems. Ensures that problems are resolved within accepted OIG performance metrics for timeliness and quality of service. Ensures all issues are resolved or mitigated within timelines designated in SLA. 4. May lead teams or groups of IT professionals in systems administration. May provide oversight of contract resources, managing assigned contractors to meet contract requirements, evaluating performance and ensuring appropriate return on investment.

Qualifications
One year of specialized
