DLA Distribution makes a difference every day by providing effective, efficient and best value support to our customers which include the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force as well as other government agencies.

As a Supply Technician (Office Automation), you will be responsible for the following duties:

·        Perform supply and administrative functions in support of the Map Support Office.

·        Manage the Flight Information Publications (FLIPs) accounts for the US Navy and US Marine Corps west of the Mississippi River of the United States to Hawaii

·        Responsible for completion of Defense Distribution Mapping System (DDMS) generate workload requirements

·        Prepare and monitor supply and budget matters for the office.

·        Project requirements for depot stocks and operations, and determines types and quantities of line items necessary to meet programmed and authorized needs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Technician (OA), your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

 

·        Coordinate with other organizational elements and with requisitioning activities to confirm the need for large quantities, partial shipments, and if necessary, negotiate a reduction in the quantities ordered.

·        Maintain inventory of all office, warehouse and packaging supplies for office.

B. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge. skills and abilities) in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of governing supply regulations, polices, and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct research and investigations to resolve discrepancies 
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Typing Proficiency
