As an Archives Technician your typical work assignments include:
Using automated production systems, inputs data and prepares system queries of various types of pending search requests to create logical batches of search requests, taking into consideration the complexity of the requests, the priority of the requests, the Center's queue discipline, and the location of the responsive records.
The first part of the interview process for this position requires candidates to pass a physical ability test designed to measure candidates' ability to perform the physical requirements of the job. The test requires carrying 50-pound boxes like those found on the job. It also requires bending, squatting, and walking to reach the boxes in addition to climbing and balancing on a pulpit ladder up to 14 feet high.
