As an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK), GS-2210-11, you will:
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organization (Joint Incident Support Communications Capability (JISCC)), ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Ensure the JISCC and other nonstandard communications used by the Wyoming Military Department for support to civil authorities are operational and accounted for.
Work in an office setting and requires deploying with the JISCC on short notice (2 hours) day or night in all weather conditions and operation in a field environment for extended periods of time.
Responsible for digital communications services planning, resource, policy, and standards development for the entire enterprise infrastructure.
Coordinate with the C4 work centers, local telephone companies, long distance service providers and other venders as required.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
