OIG is organized into three line elements: the Offices of Investigations, Audits and Evaluations, and Healthcare Inspections; along with the Office of Contract Review and the Office of Management and Administration. This position serves as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits and Evaluations (Field Operations) and is responsible for leading, directing, and monitoring the principal field operations of the Office of Audits and Evaluations (OA&E) thru a geographically dispersed workforce of approximately 250 auditors, management analysts, and administrative support staff ranging in grades from GS-5 thru GS-15. Shares management responsibility with the Assistant Inspector General (OA&E) for all initiatives related to audits and evaluations of VA programs and operations. Sets organizational goals, monitors and evaluates progress toward organizational goals, and is held accountable for the success of programs under the incumbent's supervision.

Mandatory Qualifications Requirements: To meet minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the following technical and executive core competencies. These competencies would typically be gained through education, experience, and training that reflects progressive development and achievement in managing highly complex operations and management for a large department in the Federal government. An individual's total experience and education must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.

They are required to address the technical qualifications. If providing an SF50 as proof of being a career SES, block 34 must show a 4. If block 34 of your SF 50 shows a 3, you must provide the ECQ responses or QRB certification.
