As a Optical Instrument Repairer, you will perform the following duties, but not limited to:

Screen Out Element: Ability to do the work of a Optical Instrument Repairer without More Than Normal Supervision performing full range of Optical Instrument Repairer tasks including disassembling, cleaning, replacing, adjusting, aligning and synchronizing a variety of optical and fire control equipment. Maintain a basic understanding and knowledge of optical theory, electronic theories and principles; complex electronic construction layout and circuit principles.

1. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, Evaluate, etc.
2. Knowledge of Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
3. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
4. Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
5. Skill in Troubleshooting
Physical Effort: Work requires frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, stretching, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions for long periods. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing 50-60 pounds; occasionally handles heavier items. Uses lifting devices such as a forklift to lift and position heavy items.
Working Conditions: Works in a large maintaining building which is generally well lit and heated. May work outside occasionally. Exposed to exhaust and paint fumes, chemicals, excessive noise, dirt) oil, grease, etc. Subject to cuts, bruises, back strains, shocks, burns and skin irritation. Follows prescribed safety practices and uses safety equipment as required.
