Brief Description of Duties: Knowledge of G-1 administrative guidance and operating procedures. Assists G-1 management in interpretation and utilization of reports and information provided. Aids G-1 personnel office in identifying areas of record documentation and procedures that can be streamlined, combined or improved and initiates methods to operate under the new or revised system. Researches and interprets personnel and training regulations, DA Pam's, Circulars, and NGB guidance. Works concurrently with management to develop state program policies and procedures. Assists management in preparing guidelines. Provides assistance in the procedural aspects of the office.
Other requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess least at least Twenty-four (24) months' experience which has provided a working knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local management
