    This position is located within the Digital Experiences unit of the Public Engagement and Education Department under the Management and Public Programs Directorate at the National Air and Space Museum. The Museum Program Specialist (Digital Content Specialist) serves as digital content coordinator and production assistant for the Museum’s digital engagement and educational initiatives.

    • Conducts research, writes, coordinates, organizes, and publishes engaging stories to the Museum’s digital platforms.
    • Facilitate community engagement by ensuring story content is engaging, relevant, motivates dialogue and/or invites participation, and is accessible to the broadest possible audience.
    • Maintain editorial calendar and a continuous, agile content production process, refining metadata and establishing workflows to optimize efficiency, usability, and quality.
    • Track and report content-related key performance indicators and analytics, monitor and moderate public generated content, and continuously review content for quality assurance.
