As a Student Trainee (Rangeland Management), you will be performing the following duties under direct supervision; Assignments will be developmental in nature and will assist the employee gain the competencies necessary for a career:
Receives intensive and specialized training in all phases of rangeland management data collection and the protocols related the Natural Resources Inventory.
Uses maps and GIS/GPS to navigate to remote locations to perform the data collection.
Makes contact with various field and office personnel and landowners to secure access permissions to enter land far data collection.
Assists occasionally with a variety of rangeland management duties such as resource inventories, developing resource and conservation plan maps, and development of basic grazing management systems.
