You may qualify at the NH -04 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Experience supporting contract planning, negotiation, award, administration and close out activities.
Experience with acquisition programs related to weapon systems to determine overall management effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
Experience with development and review of complex acquisition and contracting documentation (e.g., acquisition plans; Business Clearance Memorandums/Pre or Post Negotiation Memorandums; Award Fee documentation; Undefinitized Clearance Actions/Unpriced Change Order documentation; Request for Proposals; contracts; and contract modifications).
Experience with participation in/leading various special projects within the purview of the Director of Contracts or equivalent senior contracting officer/contracting leadership.
Supervisory experience as Director, Division Chief or other equivalent leadership position as an 1102/ Contract Specialist or Industry equivalent.
Experience in developing and adjusting workload priorities, policies, and processes to subordinates.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 1102, series as listed below:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current civilian personnel in DoD, in any occupational series, who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 while serving in the military on or before September 30, 2000, are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
