LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-12, this position is located in the 161st Air Refueling Wing, Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, control and direct the use of logistics resources to meet mission requirements. Through subordinate supervisors, directs and supervisee aircraft modification, overhaul, and repair programs that affect highly complex single· or multi-engine military aircraft. Work requires the ability to integrate logistics functions to plan, organize, and implement an Air Force logistics program. In addition, work requires a knowledge of logistics management procedures, capabilities, limitations, and techniques of avionics systems; theory of flight; principles of airframe construction, engines, and aircraft installed systems; and supply, transportation, and POL operation procedures as related to aircraft logistics units.

QualificationsSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

How You Will Be Evaluated

Decision Making and Planning and Evaluating
The following competencies need to be addressed on the AZ NG 335-2-R Form (for additional space please use MS Word document)
1. Knowledge in managing and administering aircraft logistics activities within Aircraft Generation Division and Maintenance Division (Component Repair Division and Equipment Maintenance Division, if applicable).
2. Ability to plan, develop, and publish aircraft logistics policies and procedures within the general framework, as established by higher echelons of command.
3. Ability to review aircraft maintenance and related material support requirements in terms of specific objectives, relative priorities, capabilities and limitations.
4. Ability to supervise and direct the preparation of budget estimates; financial plans; studies of the aircraft logistics organization; manning requirements; facility requirements; mobility or contingency requirements; and publications related to maintenance, methods, policies and procedures.
5. Ability to coordinates logistics activities with supervisors, various base activities, and higher echelons of logistics such as Air Force Depot Weapons Systems Managers, NGB, Major Command Staff, etc.
