Help
  • You will serve as the Deputy Chief Inspector in the Inspections Division of the NAVSEA Inspector General Office.
  • You will be responsible for managing Command Inspection Teams, and will support the Chief Inspector and NAVSEA IG in all inspection-related matters including planning, coordinating, and executing inspections.
  • You will provide post inspection and all other inspection-related support to all NAVSEA Commands.
  • You will independently collect, analyze, and synthesize data for inspection program reviews and ensure timely delivery of reports.
  • You will evaluate NAVSEA programs and operations for compliance and efficiency.
  • You will publish and manage individual command workforce surveys and use Microsoft Applications to export data, and create out-brief products as directed by the NAVSEA IG.
  • You will support the Refresh on Risk Program and pull inspection statistics annually to present data to the compliance area Lead Inspectors.

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY FOR NT-5: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and executing investigations to include providing technical guidance and direction on the analysis and inspections of business practices and procedures to develop risk mitigation strategies to improve program operations.

TO QUALIFY FOR NT-4: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and conducting inspections or studies on business practices and procedures to identify trends and develop recommendations to minimize risk improving program operations.

TO QUALIFY FOR NT-4: Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Additional information

This position is located in the COMAMND EVALUATION, HEADQUARTERS SUPPORT STAFF of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

The NT-05 is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level. The NT-04 is equivalent to the GS-11/12 level.

Annual salary ranges:
NT-05 : $94,199 - $172,075
NT-04: $71,531- $122,459

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617).

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
