Summary

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the WARFIGHTER SUPPORT BRANCH of the CBR DEFENSE DIVISION of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently San Diego $145,090, Norfolk $129,625).

Duties

Help
  • You will be a lead engineering technician, specializing in planning for and supporting all aspects CBR Readiness Assist Visits (RAVs), Radiological Control (RADCON) oversight tasks and audits, CBR training, and CBR equipment maintenance requests.
  • You will provide radiological remediation efforts for NAVSEA 04N Radiological Mobile Survey and Remediation Team (RMSRT) efforts.
  • You will lead, coordinate, manage, and complete supporting efforts in a shipyard environment to ensure operational readiness of all chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) equipment.
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of CBR equipment through Readiness Assist Visits (RAVs), as well as radiological remediation efforts for ships under Radiological Control (RADCON).
  • You will coordinate with Ship Repair Facilities (SRF), TYCOMS, Commanders, and NAVSEA at senior levels.
  • You will coordinate with the CBR Fleet Support Portfolio Manager and/or Group Lead to align schedule and funding for all support requests received.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing, developing, and utilizing technical engineering methods and procedures to provide technical direction on the maintenance and repair of chemical, biological, and radiological equipment or defense systems to ensure operational readiness.
