This position is located in the Energetics Manufacturing Department.
You will provide leadership and oversight to the day-to-day operations of the Energetics Manufacturing Department.
You will ensure corporate data calls are submitted in a timely manner.
You will coordinate responses to safety incidents.
You will provide leadership in support of department programs and initiatives for safety, quality, systems engineering, facilities, training, communication, and human resources.
You will provide oversight and guidance of a large organization comprised of administrative, technical, and professional personnel.
You will coordinate and lead complex programmatic and administrative functions for training and development.
You will provide leadership direction and control to ensure program objectives are met and that the organization is adequately staffed to accomplish assigned tasks.
You will evaluate and support operations and make necessary improvements to meet mission requirements.
You will perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities that include implementing certain programs and objectives.
You will work with the Department Principal for Safety to lead response to emergency situations, including any investigative actions.
You will develop and track metrics and controls to properly allocate resources to manage and align energetic manufacturing and support operations.
You will communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals and groups.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-05 (GS-13/14) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing business program operations (e.g. short and long-term planning, setting priorities, estimating resources) to assess and develop business or administrative processes and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
